• EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY:WHEELCHAIR RESTRAINTS/SECUREMENT:LATCH/ANCHOR:

  Vantage Mobility, LLC (VM) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Honda Odyssey, 2021-2025 Chrysler Pacifica, and Toyota Sienna vehicles equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.

  Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters was mailed January 27, 2026. Owners may contact Vantage Mobility customer service at 1-800-488-9082.

• AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION:FRONT PASSENGER

  Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2021, 2023 Acura TLX, 2019-2024 RDX, 2017-2020, 2022-2026 MDX, 2017-2021, 2023, 2025 Honda Ridgeline, 2017-2022 Pilot, 2019-2021 Passport, 2018-2026 Odyssey, 2019-2022 Insight, 2019-2021 HR-V, 2018-2020 Fit, 2020-2022 CR-V Hybrid, 2017-2022 CR-V, 2017-2018, 2021 Civic Type R, 2017-2021 Civic hatchback, 2016-2020 Civic coupe, 2016-2022 Civic, 2017-2022 Accord Hybrid, and 2016-2022 Accord vehicles. The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will replace the seat weight sensors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 7, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are BOL, WO9, OOA, WOM, XOH, NOC, POD, BOE, UOF, POB, EOG, AOI, QO8, TOJ, DO7, and SOK. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 24V064. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 29, 2026.

• POWER TRAIN

  For several weeks, my 2025 Honda Odyssey, with approximately 30,000 miles, had been jerking while being driven. An independent mechanic believed the problem might be transmission-related. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership, reported the jerking and specifically stated that I suspected a transmission problem. The dealership recommended and performed a transmission-fluid service. On August 24, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m., my wife was driving on the New Jersey Turnpike with our children when the vehicle suddenly jerked and behaved as though the transmission was attempting to engage reverse while the vehicle was moving forward. This created an immediate loss of predictable vehicle control and nearly caused an accident. My wife managed to pull into a parking lot. The vehicle then would not move in reverse and displayed a transmission-system warning. The vehicle was returned to the authorized Honda dealership. The dealership subsequently determined that the transmission required replacement, and it is currently being replaced under warranty. No collision or physical injury occurred, but this sudden transmission malfunction placed my wife, our children and other motorists at serious risk. The vehicle is currently at the dealership, and the failed transmission may be available through the dealer or manufacturer. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether this is a safety defect affecting the transmission or powertrain in the 2025 Honda Odyssey.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

  The vehicle comes equipped with “Auto off/on” at stoplights the vehicle will turn itself off to preserve fuel and is supposed to turn back on. Instead the vehicle dies in the middle of the road. I have to turn vehicle back to off and hope it starts back up. When it does finally start, it’s a slow start, it struggles. There’s been two incidents where it had to be jumped in the middle of the road/ intersection. Honda has confirmed it is a bad started. The vehicle is a 2025. There is no reason why the starter should be bad and there is no recalls on this and I’m not the only person with this van that is having the same issue. There needs to be an investigation in this matter.

• UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES

  When I was at the set of lights my vehicle put itself in park and refused to go back in drive. The dashboard started to flash "shift to park" cars were honking at us people we screaming because we weren't driving when the light turned green. But my car refused to go back into drive. I had to shut it off and turn it back on. I had all my kids (5) in the car. I brought it to the dealership and they said that there was no code recorded. And because of that they couldn't do anything about it. Almost as if it didn't happen. Then it has recently happened two more times. I'm bringing my vehicle back in to the dealership, but they told me if it didn't record a code then they couldn't really do anything about it. It was of the scariest things to ever happen. 21

• ENGINE

  The Auto Idle-Stop system is causing the vehicle to stall at stop signs, requiring a full shift into Park, engine turnoff and turn to restart to get moving again. This has happened two times in four days

• ENGINE

  2025 Honda Odyssey Elite. Approximately 12,000 miles. Vehicle has experienced 4–5 instances where Auto Idle Stop engages while stopped and the engine fails to restart. Vehicle cannot immediately be restarted with the push-button ignition and must be completely shut down before it will restart. Battery was replaced by Honda, but the condition is ongoing. Vehicle can and has become disabled at an intersections and traffic lights creating a potential collision hazard.

• POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

  Engine failed to restart after turning off at idle at a stop. When releasing the brake the engine tried to turn on but stalled out. It is available for inspection upon request. No major safety concern, traffic behind the vehicle was prohibited from moving until the vehicle could be restarted. The failure has not been reproduced by a dealer or service center, or inspected by anyone else. There were no warning lights but after the failure a message displayed saying “To continue to drive, depress brake pedal and push switch”. The failure first appeared after 10,000 miles and occurred between 5-10 times since then.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE

  Vehicle was using an off ramp and shutdown in the middle of a lane. It was 10:00pm and all systems were shutdown, including lights. Vehicle refused to restart and could not be placed in neutral, the vehicle could not be removed from the interstate off ramp. This issue has been brought to the attention of Honda, the started assembly was replaced on March 5, 2026. This vehicle has been delivered to Honda for similar electrical/starter issues 4 times since October 27, 2025. The first report was filed with Honda on October 27, 2025 with all lights on dashboard lit when vehicle was active. Had to wait until a tow truck arrived before vehicle could be safely removed from the scene.

• UNKNOWN OR OTHER

  Came to a stop at traffic light. Vehicle shifted into park. I was unable to put it back into drive. I shut engine off. After two tries, I was about to start engine again and was able to shift into drive. Incident happened again when I stopped at another traffic light about 2 miles later. Had to restart vehicle in order to enable drive mode.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE

  My 2025 Honda Odyssey shut off in Auto Idle Stop while at a busy intersection. The car was unresponsive and would not engage the motor. After five minutes of trying to turn the car off and on, it eventually restarted and the motor came back to life. This issue put me at great risk of bodily harm. Given the fact the car was unresponsive in such a surprising way, I was very lucky not to have cars crash into me from behind as they few by for the 5 minutes I was stranded. This is the first instance and has not been reproduced as I am too worried to drive the car now. No inspection of the vehicle has been completed as this incident just occurred. No waring light prior to the incident, but the battery warring light did come on while the car shut off and unresponsive.

  My van will stall at red-lights. It started three weeks ago. The car is a year and a half old. The auto- idle stop system is activated. We stop at a red light. Car stops. When we go to start car dings and thankfully has started 3 times. This time, the car made a ding and did not re-start. I was stuck at a now green light and couldn't move. The dash flashed hit the brake to re-start. I did numerous times. I couldn't get the car to switch to park or drive. I tried switching the car on and off and couldn't get it restarted. I was disabled for about 2 minutes before it kicked back on. My kids were in the car and this scared me.

• ENGINE

  Our 2025 Honda Odyssey Touring has repeatedly stalled or nearly stalled while driving. Of at least three dealer visits, the stalling issue was first formally documented on XXX, when we reported the engine shutting off twice while driving and the brake warning light activating twice. DTC 15477 ("failing starter") was recorded, and the starter was replaced. XXX, my [XXX] daughter was driving alone when the van lost power at a red light and would not respond to the accelerator once the light turned green. She was unable to shift gears or shut off the engine, and the van remained unresponsive in live traffic for several minutes before power returned on its own. A bystander helped restart the vehicle and move it to safety. I believe this defect is the subject of open NHTSA Engineering Analysis EA25004 (opened XXX), covering 2018–2025 Odyssey and related Honda/Acura models for Auto Idle Stop failing to restart after a stop. On XXX, the dealer confirmed the software was current, the battery was healthy, and replaced both relays, completing every step of Honda's documented repair bulletin. Hours later, on the drive home at 27,942 miles, the van stalled again at a stoplight. The dashboard instructed the driver to depress the brake and press the switch to continue driving. The driver powered the vehicle off and restarted it to regain control. Video of this incident: [XXX]. • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

  I am filing a safety complaint regarding a recurring, severe defect involving the 2025 Honda Odyssey's starter motor and the factory-installed Auto Idle-Stop (idle-stop) system.While driving, the vehicle's Auto Idle-Stop system engaged as designed when coming to a complete stop in traffic. However, when trying to accelerate, the vehicle failed to restart automatically. The engine completely stalled out on an active roadway. Attempts to manually override the system and restart the vehicle using the ignition button failed completely, resulting in an immediate and dangerous loss of propulsion.This defect presents a severe and immediate traffic hazard, as it unexpectedly leaves the vehicle completely disabled and stranded in active lanes of traffic. It strips the driver of the ability to clear the roadway to safety, significantly increasing the risk of a rear-end collision. Multiple occupants, including passengers in the rear seats, were exposed to extreme danger due to this sudden propulsion failure.Despite bringing the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership, the manufacturer has failed to provide a permanent safety remedy. Also Honda corporate has deny warranty replacement for the starter that’s causing the issue.
