• BACK OVER PREVENTION

  Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rogue and 2025 INFINITI QX80 vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

  Remedy: The in-vehicle infotainment software will be updated by an over-the-air (OTA) software update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 2, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or INFINITI's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R24B3 and R24B4.

• ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:HARD PARTS INTERNAL/MECHANICAL

  Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Rogue, 2019-2020 Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50, and 2022 Infiniti QX55 vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L or 4-cylinder 2.0L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. The engine bearings may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine failure.

  Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25A8/A9 and R25B1/B2.

• ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:HARD PARTS INTERNAL/MECHANICAL

  Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. Increased temperatures can break down the engine oil, which may cause the engine bearings to seize and become damaged, leading to engine failure.

  Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, inspect for diagnostic trouble codes, and test drive the vehicle, free of charge. The dealer may also inspect the oil pan for metal debris, and replace the engine if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25E2 and R25E3. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V437. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning February 27, 2026.

• FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:THROTTLEBODY/MANIFOLD

  Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. The gears in the electronic throttle body assembly may break.

  Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software and inspect and replace the electronic throttle body assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25E2, R25E3 and R25A9.   Engine / Fuel/Smog/Emissions System (EGR Cooler) Description of the Safety Hazard - My 2024 Nissan Rogue experienced a sudden and catastrophic failure of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler assembly. The internal core of the EGR cooler cracked, causing engine coolant to leak and completely drain. This defect caused severe engine overheating, a sudden and dangerous loss of motive power while driving the vehicle went into limp mode, and experience engine stalling. The sudden loss of engine power/stalling on the highway created an immediate, high-risk collision hazard. Furthermore, coolant leaking into hot engine components presents a critical thermal/fire risk.The vehicle is currently grounded and entirely undrivable at an authorized Nissan dealership. The dealership confirmed that the vehicle cannot be safely operated. However, Nissan cannot provide a repair timeline because the replacement EGR cooler (OEM Part 14735-6RC0B) is on an indefinite national backorder due to widespread, systemic manufacturing defects across this engine line. Hundreds of other drivers are experiencing this exact same dangerous failure, and a formal safety recall is urgently needed before it causes a fatal accident.

  We had bought this vehicle from the dealership in March 2026, it had seemed like they were trying to get rid of it. Within under a month of purchase, it flashed a malfunction error and broke down. Sent to dealership, they had fixed the relay. Problem has since worsened. Car runs extremely rough and I get two malfunction errors. During long periods of driving with extensive starting and stopping, I notice issues such as a delay when shifting from park to drive. Im currently studying Automotive Technology where I got to diagnose the car. It is showing 11 codes. [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX]. • VISIBILITY/WIPER

  On 9/1/2026 sometime between the hours of 1pm and 5pm, the rear windshield of my rogue, completely shattered. The vehicle was parked on my driveway. Nothing around my car, ring camera did not pick up anything. It simply just shattered.

• STRUCTURE

  The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. While driving approximately 45 MPH, the contact’s eyes started burning, then the contact had a headache and muscle aches. The contact started feeling nauseous. The contact stated that the issue occurred every time the vehicle was driven. The contact was concerned that the air coming from the AC vents was causing the issues. Medical attention was sought twice, and the contact was diagnosed with undisclosed respiratory issues and was prescribed antibiotics, eye drops for a week, and cough medicine. The contact also missed work for a week while recovering. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that there was water in the sun visors, and that the sun visors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the strong abnormal odor returned. The vehicle was towed to a different dealer, Flow Nissan of Fayetteville (4559 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304), to be diagnosed; however, the cause was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

• ENGINE

  The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 53 MPH, the vehicle intermittently stalled. The Messages "Engine Malfunction. Power Reduce. Service Now" and the "Start/Stop System Fault. Idle Stop System" were displayed on the instrument panel, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,267.

• POWER TRAIN,ENGINE

  At approximately 30,000 miles on this Nissan Rogue 2024 the vehicle flashed a 'low power mode - engine malfunction' code. The vehicle was brought to the dealer and they were unable to reproduce or find the code in the vehicle on board computer's memory. The same happened 2 or 3 more time over the next few weeks. Each time the vehicle cleared the code after being turned off and back on a few hours later. Vehicle was brought into owner's personal body shop and after deep retrieval methods codes were still not found. Code reappeared again and vehicle was brought to Nissan Bayside dealer again on or about July 29. Dynamic road test was done and codes were reproduced and sheared metal from pistons were found in the oils and other areas of the vehicle. Vehicle had long block replaced and vehicle was retrieved by owner on 8/18. On 8/19, a few hours after receiving the vehicle the same warning low power - engine malfunction code appeared again. An image is attached here. Vehicle will be returning to official dealer today for a 3rd time. Apparently there are 2 major issues: major engine malfunction and degrading is occurring and second the on board computer is erasing and spoliating all evidence of these codes once the vehicle is shut down and started again.

• VISIBILITY

  I drove my car home and parked it in front of my neighbors house. It was on Sunday, August 2, 2026. About 3.5 hours later I went to move my car, and noticed that the window was shattered, with a hole on the bottom right and a hole on the bottom left. There was glass on the road and inside my vehicle. There were no rocks or object in the back of my car that would of caused that. My neighbor has a Ring Camera, and you could see me park my car at approximately 4:45, and around 8:00 PM you can see my father walking up to their door to ask if they heard or seen anything. There ring camera showed no one around the car from the time I parked it and until we noticed that it was shattered.

  There was a very big storm about 3:30 in the afternoon. About 20 minutes later while driving north on interstate 81 near Winchester Virginia there was a loud bang from the rear of the car and the back glass shattered.

  The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V0801000 (Fuel System, Gasoline, Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available, even though the notification stated that the parts were available. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced several issues, including the loss of motive power and engine shut-off as stated in the recall notification. The local dealer was contacted and stated there was no such recall. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue but stated that the recall did not exist. The failure mileage was 95,000.

• VISIBILITY

  The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the driveway unattended, the rear glass shattered without impact. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where photos were taken to send to the manufacturer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The manufacturer informed the contact that the repair would be an out-of-pocket expense and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.

• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION

  The entire dashboard goes blank. No radio, no camera's no telepone connection etc.. 2024 Nissan Rogue SL. After driving a few miles the dashboard info center turns back on. This has happened at least 3 times. I was curious because 655K Camrys are being recalled for the same problem. Most likely the same software is used in both automobiles.

• ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

  The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V080000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, a failure occurred after the recall repair was performed. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made an abnormal sound and lost drive power. No warning light was illuminated. The contact pushed the vehicle to the side of the road and waited 10-15 minutes to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,570.

• ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

  I am reporting a serious safety incident involving my 2024 Nissan Rogue, which caught fire after a history of shuddering, hesitation, and problems during acceleration. Prior to the fire, I brought the vehicle to a Nissan dealership multiple times because it had a recall and was shuddering during acceleration and at times felt as though it might stall. During these visits, the dealership performed recall related work, diagnostic testing, and repairs involving engine-related components. The vehicle continued to experience similar symptoms after the initial repairs, so I returned to the dealership for further evaluation. Additional work was performed after an intermittent misfire was identified, including replacement of a fuel injector and spark plug and further testing of ignition-related components. Despite these repairs, the vehicle continued to have problems. Shortly afterward, while I was driving, the Rogue experienced a significant loss of acceleration and power and subsequently caught fire. The vehicle sustained extensive fire damage and was ultimately declared a total loss by my insurance company. I am submitting this complaint because the fire occurred after repeated documented symptoms involving shuddering, hesitation, loss of acceleration, and an intermittent misfire, as well as multiple attempts by the dealership to diagnose and repair the problem. I believe this sequence of events should be reviewed by NHTSA to determine whether the fire and preceding loss of power may be related to a safety defect affecting this vehicle or other Nissan Rogues. I have supporting repair records, photographs, insurance documentation, and other information available if requested.

• STEERING,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE

  I was driving on the highway to work. All of a sudden my car lost control and started spinning in circles. I attempted to steer and break but it would not stop. All the lights came on on the dash with an engine warning. I lost total control and slammed into a guardrail. I did call 911 because I was in part of the road facing the wrong direction. They sent the fire department. I was able to eventually restart the car and we safely drove it a couple miles down the road off the highway.

  I was driving down the road alte at night on a completely empty road. All of a sudden I heard what sounded like a gun shot hitting glass. I looked in my rearview mirror and noticed my rear windshield was completely shattered. There was no rhyme or reason for it to happen. Just out of nowhere.
