I took my truck to the dealership of Toyota in Riverside, CA and the staff there told me there was no recall for my vehicle. Can you please verify if my vehicle is under warranty? I also went to the smog inspection and told them about my situation and they said my vehicle may not be under recall since sometimes certain vehicles under the same year are grouped together with a specific recall.
- STRUCTURE
Paint prematurely chipping in areas that’s would and would not be affected by wind down to bare metal.
- STRUCTURE
Extensive rust and rot of entire frame, and undercarriage. The truck bed unsafe to walk on has several soft spots almost broken through, gas tank holder rusted out- worry about gas tank dropping from frame, tow hitch and rear bumper rot etc. Side step fell off. Toyota has a Service Campaign and Warranty Enhancement Program for Tundra but not this year- built 9/2010 San Antonio but listed as 2011 model on VIN. I am original registered owner and have never been contacted about this factory failure use of inferior untreated frame materials but learned about it from internet research. Would like my vehicle covered under current Service Campaign.

- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Horn stopped working right after I bought this truck from a dealer. I did some research on why it stopped. I was told and also read that it was the air bag clock spring. This controls the air bags and horn and other components. What it is the clock spring was installed by Toyota that had a bad spot on it. This causes the wiring harness to start rubbing and cutting into the wires. Would cause the horn to stop working and the air bags not to work and other things that is wired to this harness also. This should be a safety concern, and Toyota needs to recall to fix. Read that the 2011 Toyota's was bad for doing this. Costing the customer about $800.00 to fix. I have the truck about 3 months. Might be the reason it was traded in. Works some times and doesn't work. I am worried the air bags will deploy if not fixed. Please check into this. I would like to know what you find out before I spend the money to get it fixed On Social Security and don't have that much money in hand to have fixed.

On 11/25/22 I meet with American Auto Mall to buy a used truck I was assured through text, website and window sticker that the truck was in excellent condition inside and out.. I have all this documents proofing this.. I did van limited inspection at the lot and a test drive.. found nothing that stuck out.. other than the radio not working but the dealership said he would reimburse me if I got it fixed..so after that a down payment was made of $5550 dollars and paperwork was signed.. I drove the truck home and the next week I got in it and it wouldn't start, turns out it needed a battery and alternator, so I took it to a shop and was told that this vehicle was badly rusted and had a lot of hidden rust damage.. and improperly installed brakes., coolant leaks and exhaust leaks.. after finding this out I tried to call the dealership and he hasn't been replying.. I was also told this truck wouldn't pass a legal VA inspection.. so the current one was fraudulent I have all documents that support my case. I will like to turn this vehicle back in and given a full refund
